Located in the heart of downtown Stratford, The Stratford Hotel is a small historic 12-room boutique hotel built in 1875. Our beloved little hideaway offers genuine charm & character, layered with modern amenities and comfort.

We want you to get the most out of your vacation, so we’ve eliminated the front desk and implemented keyless, digital self-check-in/check-out which makes for breezy arrivals and bon voyages, and 24/7 digital concierge via text/phone call for recommendations and requests. Our hotel is a short walk to the Avon Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Tom Patterson Theatre, and a pleasant 20-minute stroll to the Festival Theatre along the beautiful Avon River. Shakespearean Gardens is a short 7-minute walk, and there are plenty of green spaces and intimate places to be discovered. Take your pick. Whichever direction you decide to walk, something is waiting to be explored.

    First, we were extremely happy that we were able to book a room within 2 weeks of our planned vacation in late September. We snagged one of their deluxe suites for a 2-night stay. Located on the 2nd floor, the 2-room suite was well-appointed and comfortable. The bathroom linked the 2 rooms and a sink was found in each room. It made it easy for the 2 of us to get ready in the mornings. Not having a full-time receptionist was not a problem because checking in was handled ahead of time by phone & clear instructions for accessing the building and our room were texted/emailed before we arrived. Any issues or questions were communicated via texting. It all went flawlessly. In the future, we will definitely consider staying there again.

    If you want a sterile, cookie-cutter hotel, this isn't the place for you. If staying in a historic, rustic, spotlessly clean, and quaint hotel is to your liking, this place will fit the bill. Service was amazing, check-in was quick and polite. The staff was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying here and walking to the nearby theatres, restaurants, and all that the area has to offer.

    It was a quaint and cozy room. The size was perfect for me and my husband. We really enjoyed the small attention to detail, such as a bottle of water beside the bed, the Chai tea gift with a note for us to take, as well as having a coffee maker for the morning. It was easy to send messages with questions or concerns I had and overall, I felt like a valued guest even if i saw nobody in the lobby.

    We stay in Stratford frequently but had not tried the Stratford hotel before. We were pleasantly surprised with the excellent in room amenities - mini fridge, lits if water and a well.stocked Nespresso machine in our room. The staff were very helpful and communicative. Note that our room wouldnt be accessible if you climb stairs.
